Mindset Matters in the Face of Pandemic

Even in this moment of legitimate concern, let us remember that our mindsets are more important now than ever. Feeling depressed, a sense of fear, or a sense of loss is normal. We’ve all had our lives turned upside down and it’s just beginning.

However, our minds are powerful allies or adversaries in crisis. Study after study has shown that a healthy outlook boosts immune systems. More than that, though, a healthy mindset prevents our minds from joining in on a negative spiral and keeps us strong in the face of the negative, if necessary, sobriety of the news.

As I’ve been reminded in amazing posts by my friends Dennis Nappi II and Kat Hobson this week, crisis is also possibility and opportunity. The world is going to slow down for many of us in the near future. It’s time to reflect, reassess, and get regrounded. Turn off the noise some. Be thankful for what you have and the people around you.

We’re all in this together….now more than ever.

Let’s stay strong and remember who we are and what we’re capable of.

Just in case no one has reminded you today, you’re awesome!

Over time, I have melded these ideas into my own philosophy on self-development. I have written, recorded, and used affirmations and other tools throughout that time to improve my own life and I have a passion for helping other reach for their goals and dreams.
