Mothers’ Day Poem and Affirmations – The Affirmation Spot for Sunday May 8, 2011

Once a year we spend a day recognizing mothers for the invaluable contributions they make in all of our lives.

Here are some Mother’s Day affirmations and an original poem I wrote for Mothers’ Day a few years ago. Thank you to all the mothers out there for what you have done and continue to do for us.

“To Mom on Mothers’ Day”

Out among the stars
that flow across the sky;
there surely must be one
that caught my mother’s eye.

If I could I’d capture it
and lace it with a bow;
give it to my mother
so that she would know.

Despite our disagreements
and our differences of way;
I love her and respect her
on this, my Mother’s Day.
