Motivational RayQuote for Tuesday December 21, 2021

Hello, my friends. I hope your Monday started your week on a good note.

The quote above reminds us that it’s free to believe in ourselves. The power of that simple act shifts moments, shifts days, shifts lives.

There are philosophies out there that literally discourage people from believing in themselves. It’s prideful, it’s selfish, it’s arrogant or narcissistic.

Taken to an extreme, it could become those things. The truth is most of us don’t suffer from too much belief in ourselves. We suffer from too little.

Don’t be afraid to put your foot on the gas of self-belief. You’ll know when it’s gone too far.

The second part of the quote reminds us of the consequences of failing to believe in ourselves. That cost everything- our hopes, our aspirations, our very progress along the path of lives is hindered.

So, buy into you. Buy into your dreams. Buy into the fact that your future can be much better than your present.

Wherever you are on your journey today, I believe in you!

5 Motivational RayQuotes for Your Saturday Morning

Good Saturday, dear reader. There’s no bigger myth out there than that we don’t have choices about how to see and interact with the world around us.

We most certainly do. These quotes may seem diverse, but they share this in common. They remind us to see the world through compassionate and inclusive eyes and ourselves as positive vehicles of change,

Working together, we can create a better world for ourselves and everyone else.

Have a beautiful Saturday!

Feed Your Dreams

Happy Wednesday, my friends. This morning I’m sharing another #RayQuote. I coined this one about 15 years ago. It seems to resonate, as it’s proliferated on Twitter, found its way into t-shirts and into at least one book; not to mention various quotes sites.

It’s a play on the famous aphorism, “Feed a cold. Starve a fever.”

What I love about it is it’s a simple reminder, with every choice we make today, to choose our dreams over our doubts.

A dream fed is a dream sped. Often we feed our doubts rather than our dreams. Remember to feed your dreams today.

Wherever you are on your journey today, you are awesome!

Defeating the Monsters Along Your Path

A challenge only becomes an obstacle when you bow to it.

Our lives are filled with challenge on a daily basis. It can be an easy reason to stop or give up. Most people would even understand.

The first mistake we make is to see challenge as obstacles and obstacles – even the word – sounds like something blocking us.

When we shift our focus and see the challenges as stepping stones or character builders or even guardrails, we find they are necessary companions along the journey to a goal and will make standing on the too of the mountain that much more gratifying.

The late, great mythologist Joseph Campbell put forward the theory of the monomyth – the heroic journey that each of as the hero of our life is on. He noted repeating pattern in hero stories across the world.

Always there is a monster (massive challenge) to be faced before the hero gleans the boon. Don’t bow! You have as much right as anyone to be on the path.

Be glad when you find your monster. It’s a sign you’re on the right path. The universe rarely bothers to challenge mediocrity, but it will cast huge scary shadow puppets at those ready to achieve something great.

Just in case no one else reminded your today, you are awesome!

The Present Literally Creates the Future

It’s a simple enough concept, but one we easily forget in the hustle bustle of our lives.

This moment, not any other, is busy creating the future. Just as previous moments created this one.

Your thoughts and my thoughts, your words and my words, your actions and my actions are busy creating the world we’re all about to live in.

If we considered that, we’d be more thoughtful about the vibrations we put out into the world. We’d understand the power to change the things that need changing lies within us – each of us and all of us – where it always has.

Follow your bliss. Experience your bliss. Become your bliss.
