Your thinking is a huge factor in how healthy, wealthy, and happy you are in life. There are several belief systems or mindsets that I encounter regularly that will keep you broke and helpless. The significance of this was brought to my attention again recently when a friend of mine said, “I don’t have any dreams. I’ve just never been that kind of person.”
Often these self-destructive mindsets are passed from generation to generation. Parents consciously or unconsciously pass them to children who pass them to their children. Soon, there is a whole momentum for failure, defeat, and a loss of hope.
When these thoughts become the persistent and dominant lens through which you see your world, then they become self-defeating. You received these mindsets from someone influential in your life who was conditioned into these thought patterns and passed them along to you as part of your “mental DNA”.
Stop thinking these thoughts and replace them with something more positive and productive that moves you forward, empowers you, and enriches your life physically, financially, and spiritually.
Believing in myself, my greatness, or my potential is conceited, selfish, or unholy.
There is something wrong with receiving compensation for my talents outside the confines of a job.
God will do it for me. (Believe in God or the Universe but don’t expect him do it for you.)
Government will do it for me.
Successful people are just lucky.
Things never go my way. I’m just meant to fail. I don’t have what it takes to succeed.
That’s just the way things are. They always have been and they always will be.
I don’t need to change, adapt, or improve. I will keep doing things the way I have always done them.
Let me just watch my TV shows one more week and then I will spend time on my dreams.
My circumstances are someone else’s fault. My life is built on chances not choices.
Playing the victim in any way, shape, or form. Every time you play the victim you victimize yourself again.
Waiting for the “perfect” moment to take action.
Expecting storybook endings that magically occur.
The belief that you must have everything right now, even if it means becoming a high-interest debt slave.
Reduce or eliminate these mindsets and you are well on the road to being less helpless and more financially successfully.
I love you all and wish you only the best this week. Let’s maintain better mindsets and change our lives!
You’ve probably heard the old joke about the guy who prayed to God to win the lottery. He prayed and he prayed, but he never won. He dies and goes to heaven and confronts God about the unanswered prayer.
God smiles and says, “I would have helped you win the lottery, but you have to meet me halfway and buy a ticket.”
Have you bought the ticket for your dreams? Are you hoping and praying and or are you taking action to make them come true? To buy your ticket, you must attract, act, and believe.
Attract: The attract part of the equation involves putting the intention out there in the Universe. Remember, “Ask and you shall receive.”? The Universe responds to our stated intentions not our secret hopes. It’s about creating the mental environment necessary to “manifest” your goal in your life. Affirmations, meditation, praying, or verbally sharing our dreams with others are all ways to achieve that part of the equation. The man in the story did that part.
Act: The second part is equally important, though. You have to take action. Waiting on God or others to meet your needs while you sit passively by is not the act of buying the ticket. This the part many people leave out. They put the intention out there and they believe, but they fail to act. You must take proactive steps that give you the best chance for success. This is the part the man in the story failed to do.
Believe: The third part of buying your ticket is belief or some might call it faith. This aspect is important because it enhances your actions by adding life and purpose to them. That all plays into a better result. This part is also important because often achieving requires patience and perseverance. Many a dream has been attracted and acted upon, but lost because the person gave up a moment too soon.
President Kennedy did the attracting part with his vision for the moon. He put the intention to go to the moon out into the Universe. Thousands of experts and geniuses acted to make it a reality. And, a nation – indeed a world – believed.
So my question for you today is are you buying your ticket? Are you doing all three parts of the equation to attract your best life? No ticket means no lottery.

Tonight: Clearing with a 100% chance of inspiration. Lows in the mid high achiever range.
