Recession and Mindset RayQuotes and Affirmations

Financial markets are always really mental markets. With the current spread of COVID-19, markets have lost their minds. Keep yours!

#RayQuotes

Recessions are mental events more than financial events. There is only recession once the thought was planted.

A recession begins the moment people start believing in it and ends the moment they stop.

A recession is when authoritative figures shout fire in a crowded theater and then scoop up your abandoned popcorn cheap.

Booming minds create booming economies. Recession minds create recession economies.

Recessions are completely based on beliefs. The thought for a recession is planted in the mass consciousness. People and companies start acting fearfully like there’s a recession and then you get the actual recession. It’s mindset not finances.

Affirmations

My personal economy is robust and resilient!

My talents and skills make me recession-proof!

I refuse to participate in a recession mindset.

I’m so busy prospering I don’t have time for recession in my life!

My personal economy is booming. My mind is expanding and so are my opportunities!

The Power of Your Mind – Day 336 of 365 Days to a Better You

Today’s Affirmation:
I AM the engine of MY dreams! MY dreams NEVER give up on me and I NEVER give up on MY dreams!

The results are in! For thousands of years, the wisest of the wise among us have been telling us, “It’s all about the mind, stupid.” It makes sense. The mind, via the brain, is the part of our being that interacts with and makes sense of our environment.

Modern science has demonstrated that the Universe around us, despite its physical appearance to our senses, is really just energy. Our mind/brain structure is tuned into that energy and literally creates the individual and collective realities that we experience within that field of energy.

However, the mind is not just a passive receiver of frequencies. It also has the ability to transmit, when trained properly, frequencies that can manifest objects of its desire.

We’ve all heard quotes like these.

  • “The Universe is Change; our life is what our thoughts make of it.”
    ~ Marcus Aurelius
  • “Wealth is the capacity of man’s mind to think.”
    ~ Ayn Rand
  • “We become what we think about most of the time.”
    ~ Earl Nightingale
  • “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
    ~ Napoleon Hill
  • “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”
    ~Buddha
  • A man is a product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes.”
    ~ Mohondas Gandhi
  • “For as a man thinks within himself, so is he.”
    ~ Proverbs 23:7

These are just a few of the most famous quotes. You could literally fill a book with quotes from humanity’s best and wisest people sending this very same message to you. But, are you listening?

Do you still believe that life is something that happens “out there” and “to you” rather than “in here” and “by you”? Do you still believe that your thinking is out of your control? There’s nothing you can do about it? Thoughts just pop into your head?

Affirmations are a workhorse tool when it comes to changing and choosing the thoughts you want to think in your life. It is more complex than just saying the words over and over, but  there are many resources on this blog and elsewhere to help you with the finer points.

You CAN change and master your thinking. That is the first thing you must believe.

I have been writing and recording audio affirmations for more than 20 years. First, I used them to improve my own thinking and my own life. Then I shared with them others. Now I have created a website called The Affirmation Spot where I make the power of audio affirmations available to you.

How does it work? Just like you learn the lyrics to a song with repeated listening. You’ve had that experience of suddenly knowing the lyrics to a song when you didn’t even know you’d been listening. Audio affirmations provide the same benefit. Soon the positive affirmations are appearing in your mind to replace the negative programming that was there.

I’d like to invite you to The Affirmation Spot today. You can download any single affirmation on the site for free to try or you can jump right and download the ones that make sense for you in your life right now.

You will find short affirmation singles, extended affirmations and meditations, and ebooks. I home record all the audio to keep the prices down and affordable for everyone.

You can always contact me directly and I am happy to help you get the most of your affirmations. I’ve been writing, recording, and using audio affirmations for more than 20 years. So, I’ve encountered and found solutions to the things you may face, as you begin using affirmations. I’m here to help.

Follow your bliss! Achieve your bliss! Become your bliss!

Random Thought #18 – The Human Spirit

The human spirit is about triumph over adversity,
daring in the face of challenge, and
love conquering fear.

We’re not here to bow to our limits. We’re here
to undo them.

Our highest mountains are within reach. Our boldest dreams call but for our courage to become them.

Rules for Being Human – Day 291 of 365 Days to a Better You

Cherie Carter-Scott PhD is a best-selling author and globally recognized expert on human and organizational development. Yet, her best known content, has circled the globe for decades largely anonymously.

The spark was lit when her Rules for Being Human (aka The 10 Rules for Being Human) appeared in Jack Canfield’s 1993 mega best-seller Chicken Soup for the Soul. Canfield was only later made aware of her authorship of the rules. Carter-Scott had developed the now-famous rules in the mid 1970s. The rules later appeared in her own 1998 book If Life is a Game, These are the Rules.

If these rules are new to you, they are a profound roadmap to personal development. If you’ve seen these years ago, now may be a great time revisit them. Here are the rules along with brief explanations commonly accompanying them

  1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it but it will be yours for the entire period this time around. You have chosen its shape on a deeper level; you can change it.
  2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called life on planet Earth. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons, or think them irrelevant.
  3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of experimentation — trial and error. The so-called failed experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiment that ultimately “works.”
  4. A lesson is repeated until learned. It will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you’ve learned it, you can then go on to the next lessons. If you don’t learn easy lessons, they become harder. You will know you’ve learned a lesson when your actions change.
  5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. Every person, every incident is the universal teacher. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.
  6. “There” is no better than “here.” Nothing leads to happiness. When your “there” has become a “here” you will simply obtain another “there” that again looks better than “here.”
  7. Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate in yourself.
  8. What you create of your life is up to you. Life is like a movie; you may feel like a bit player, but you have the power to become a screen writer, casting director, producer, director. It’s your movie. You have all the tools and resources you need; what you do with them is up to you. There are three kinds of people: those who make things happen, those who watch what happens, and those who wonder what happened. Notice that you do have the courage; take charge of your life. If you don’t, someone else will.
  9. Your answers lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust. Then you’ll realize that you are the spiritual being you’ve been seeking.
  10. You will tend to forget all this.
