Get Started Right Now Not Tomorrow – Day 1 of 365 Days to a Better You

Happy New Year, my friends!

It’s New Year’s Day. Time for new starts and a new you. No, not a you fashioned by popular trends or society’s expectations. The you – yes THAT you – you’ve wanted to be for years.

BUT, it’s not a day to make distant promises. It’s a day to get started. You know that thing you’ve wanted to do since 20…? Make some time today to take positive steps towards it. NOW!

January 2 may seem like a better day to start than January 1. After all, today’s a holiday. Great people achieve great things while everyone else is watching football or the Food Network. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying those things. Just know that if you do what everyone else does, you’re going to get what everyone else gets.

If you want more, you may find yourself working around edges beyond what others do.

Henry David Thoreau promised, “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”

You’ve got this! We’ll check back in on your progress.

I believe in your dreams. Meet me halfway and believe in them too.

My latest books are the Anunnaki Awakening: Revelation (Book 1 of a trilogy) and The Power to Be You: 417 Daily Thoughts and Affirmations for Empowerment. I have written prolifically on the topics of personal development and human potential for many years. By day, I write sales training for Fortune 100 company. I began studying affirmations and positive thinking after a life-threatening illness at 25. My thirst for self-improvement led him to read the writings of Joseph Campbell, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, and many other luminaries in the fields of mythology and motivation. Over time, I have melded these ideas into my own philosophy on self-development. I have written, recorded, and used affirmations and other tools throughout that time to improve my own life and I have a passion for helping other reach for their goals and dreams.
