campaign08.jpgToday’s post is short and sweet.I want to know who you believe is the most positive major presidential candidate in this year’s race. I’m trying to get a sense of who people believe is the most positive (not necessarily who they plan to vote for) presidential candidate in 2008.

Quick two-question poll. Who is the most positive candidate remaining in the race? Why do you believe this person is the most positive candidate?

  • Mitt Romney
  • John McCain
  • Barack Obama
  • Ron Paul
  • Hillary Clinton
  • Mike Huckabee
  • John Edwards
  • Rudy Guiliani
  • None of the Above (write in your own candidate)

  1. His values seem to match mine. His grin and bare it attitude I can relate to. Smile, it keeps me happy no matter what I ‘m dealing with.

  2. Ron Paul is the most positive candidate simply because he wants the most positive changes for america.
-bring troops home, end war in iraq
-money we save on war would truly stimulate economy
-abolish IRS and income tax, its unconstitutional anyway
-abolish the Federal Reserve and divert from Fiat money system, possibly the best idea I’ve ever heard!

  3. Ron Paul

He’s the only one who’s has voted against free trade agreements 100% of the time, against Permanent Normalization of Trade with China, against Presidential Fast-Track trade authority, against amnesty for illegal immigrants 100% of the time, against the Iraq War, against torture, government spying, and in favor of giving physicians the right to collectively bargain, in favor of NAFTA withdrawal, and in favor of WTO withdrawal.

  4. Ron Paul.

He is the most consistent voter in congress. A man of great integrity, honesty. For a candidate that has been attacked by the media, the other candidates, and his own party he has remained a true gentleman. He always remains positive and doesn’t resort to mud slinging and bickering like his counterparts.

  5. Ron Paul

He is the only candidate who has consistently spoken the truth regarding the run away fiat money creation of the fed. People get scared when he mentions eliminating the Dept. of Education… it’s the FEDERAL LEVEL, folks, so money can stay within the states and local control!!! Social Security withholdings since the 1930’s, all spent??? It is theft, yet nobody thinks its a crime? Ron Paul will get the next generation out. The hidden tax of inflation is making the dollars you earn worth less every year. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate that not only understands these issues, but will talk honestly about them and will fix it. The rest make promises they know we can’t afford… and pray we continue to not have a clue.

  6. Ron Paul.

Media Blackout got me interested did some research; everything he says is dead on. Not forcing my views on anyone just research like I did, the truth will set you free.

  7. When I watch them speak, both Obama and Huckabee leave me feeling good. They are skilled orators who really know how to give a stirring speech. But when I analyze what it is they say, especially about their specific plans about how to fix the monetary and social problems we are having, I am left wanting. I don’t think Ron Paul will win any public speaking awards, but his ideas for how he would help shape our future are the most positive.

  8. So far, in this unscientific poll, it seems Paul and Obama are the only candidates inspiring people. Huckabee has been mentioned a couple of times, but not as the most inspiring.

How important is a positive message and a positive candidate in deciding support a candidate? Does anyone see McCain or Clinton as positive or inspiring?

  9. Thanks, everyone for keeping it positive. I’ve had a couple of comments that I did not approve because they were the “trash” the other candidate variety.

The purpose of this poll is to understand what is positive about the candidates. There is enough air time given to the negatives. We are trying to understand how your candidate inspires you and why. I’d love to have some Romney, McCain, Clinton, or Edwards supporters share why their candidate is the most positive in the race.

  10. Obama
    and Paul.

these seem to be the two candidates that seemed to think that actual, real people had some potential.

    ps. Clinton’s courage??
